This is a now page. If you have your own site, you should make one too.
Building
I go back and forth between working with a SDLC framework like GSD and using something lighter weight like the Agent Skills.
Learning
I'm currently taking a Udemy course on product management, Become a Product Manager | Learn the Skills & Get the Job.
Reading
I'm currently reading Record of a Spaceborn Few. I'm a sucker for a sci-fi and this is the 3rd in the Wayfarers series by Becky Chambers.
On another note, my Kobo Libra 2 died, so I'm back to a Kindle Paperwhite v1 I have root-kitted and put koreader on so I can read my own Epubs on it. Yep, I'm cool.
Watching
Wrapped up
- Ted Lasso - has really emerged as one of my all time favorite shows.
- The Night Agent (Season 3) - well done show if you enjoy action and drama in the setting of a cloak and dagger government agency
- Shrinking (Season 3) - an emotional show for me, but man, it hits so good
Currently
- Your Friends & Neighbors (Season 2) - I joke with my wife that this may have to be me in a few months. She does not find that near as funny as I do. Also, pretty sure I would end up throwing my back out in a caper, just like he does.
- Cross (Season 2) - I love Aldis Hodge in pretty much anything and this is a great crime mystery show.
- Running Point (Season 2) - Another sports comedy (I may have a type) but one that takes on stereotypes in a funny manner.
Using
I'm always tinkering with new apps. Some of the ones that have caught my attention this week:
- Sofa - this is how I keep up with what shows, books, and apps I'm currently partaking in.
- Graftty - This is a brand new app that I just met the developer of and it's scratching an itch for me: persistent terminal sessions by git worktree with a nice, simple UI and better notification handling of tabs/sessions. Forgotten about AI session that I find hours later is the bane of my productivity these days. It's beta but it's pretty cool.
Playing
I don't play many games, I find myself reaching for Solitaire Stories frequently to decompress a bit. The decks are beautiful, the storylines are often funny, if not cheesy, and it just an app that feels great to play.
Working
I've been scouring the web, looking for that next opportunity and had some near hits, but haven't quite found it, yet. If you think you may want someone of my skill set, let's talk.
