It's events like this in our lives that weigh our ability to do what is right. Things that make you step back and really think about what happened and what the right thing to do it. Next time you might decide to just buy her a small meal. I am not a big fan of social welfare programs for various reasons, but I am big fan of people doing the right thing and offering help to those that truly need it and this certainly sounds like one of those people.
