Diet-ish
Tuesday, February 24th, 2004So I’ve been on a diet of sorts. For the last 2 weeks I have had no soda, milk and beer. The beer part was pretty easy, the soda was hard at times, but not overwhelming. I had some carbonated waters to help with my craving for carbonation. The hard part was milk. I baked cookies. We had sugar powdered donuts. I made cheesecake. You get the point.
This is a low carb adjustment (hardly callable a diet). I went 2 weeks without those things, now I am back to once every few days I can have a reasonable portion (read: no more Route 44s). The funny thing about it is I don’t feel like I am eating any healthier, even though I am starting to notice a differnce. I think this comic explains exactly how I feel about it.
On a slight tangent, I read that the 7-11 Extreme Gulp (or whatever their biggest one is called) is 1.5 times the size of the average human stomach. Think about that next time you feel like you have the bladder of a 5 year old girl.
